1,146,097 households need aid
The National Housing Federation report that more than a million households need
financial support to keep their shelter. And that's the tip of the iceberg.
165% increase in rough sleepers over 10 years
120,000 children living in temporary housing
Where do the funds go?
All funds raised are for the sole purpose of assisting people that fall into the following categories:
People who cannot effectively manage the payment of their existing rent and still live reasonably within their means on basic essentials.
‘Homelessness is lacking stable and appropriate housing. People can be categorized as homeless if they are: living on the streets; moving between temporary shelters, including houses of friends, family and emergency accommodation; living in private boarding houses without a private bathroom or security of tenure’
People in threat of eviction due to arrears of their rent.
People who lose their employment due to circumstances out of their control, for example, redundancy and are unable to pay the rent if the amount is greater than Housing Support paid by the Government.
